Hip Arthroscopy

Dr. Lee specializes in the arthroscopic treatment of hip disorders. Hip arthroscopy is a technique that allows the surgeon to evaluate and treat hip conditions with use of small arthroscopic instruments rather than larger open incision. Conditions occurring inside the hip joint (intra-articular) and those found outside the hip joint (extra-articular) can be safely treated using arthroscopic technology. The list of intra-articular conditions treated arthroscopically include:

  • Hip Impingement
  • CAM Impingement
  • Pincer Impingement
  • Labral Tears
  • Cartilage Defects
  • Removal of Loose Bodies
  • Removal of Diseased Synovial Tissue

The list of extra-articular pathologies that can be treated arthroscopically include:

  • Painful or Snapping Iliopsoas Tendon
  • Gluteus Medius Tear
  • IT band tightness
  • Greater Trochanteric Bursitis
